What are Mobile Keywords and how do they work?
Mobile Keywords allow customers to join your SMS list by texting a specific word to a short code (for example, texting SMS to 64600). When a keyword is received, the system automatically sends your opt-in message and adds the subscriber to the associated group.
Each account includes one free demo keyword, which is randomly assigned (such as a color or animal). Custom keywords (for example, PIZZA) are available based on availability for $25 per month on the Pay-As-You-Go plan, while monthly plans include at least one custom keyword.
Keywords must be unique and cannot be identical to another account’s keyword. You may choose a similar variation, but for best results, select a simple, memorable word without numbers. Keyword availability can be checked directly within the platform.
How do I check if a keyword is available?
Step 1:
Click on the Groups & Keywords tab.
Step 2:
Click on Create New Group / Keyword.
Step 3:
Enter a Keyword and check it's availability.
If a keyword has already been claimed, the system will display a message indicating that the keyword is not available.
If the keyword is shown as available, it mayb be selected and used without issue.
