Groups are how we organize your contacts. Each Mobile Keyword, the phrase that potential subscribers text to your account number to join your marketing group, is matched with a group. Subscribers are put into the group that texted the matching keyword for. This is also how you pick who send your marketing messages to. This makes it easier to segment your marketing Campaigns and better target those Campaigns to maximize your revenue.
How do I create a Group?
Click on the Groups & Keywords tab.
Click on Create New Group / Keyword.
Enter a group Name.
Enter a Keyword and check it's availability.
If a keyword was entered that has been previously used by someone else, you will see: Keyword is NOT available.
However, if you see Keyword is available, you’re good to go!
All keywords should be one word, without spaces.
Keywords cannot contain special characters, i.e. !$#@_,-+
Choose which Number your group is for, even if your account only has one number.
Enter a Join Message to be automatically sent to subscribers right after they opt-in, or send in the group's keyword to your number.
Check the box for Short Links if you want to shorten any links in your join message.
Click to Create Group to finish.
