Why would I need to Reset a Bounced Contact?
Resetting bounced contacts in the Mobiniti platform can be necessary for several reasons:
Improving Deliverability: Resetting bounced contacts can help improve the deliverability of your messages. If contacts have bounced due to temporary issues (e.g., network problems, full inboxes), resetting them allows you to attempt sending messages again.
Maintaining Accurate Lists: Keeping your contact lists accurate and up-to-date is crucial for effective communication. Resetting bounced contacts ensures that you are not excluding potentially valid contacts from your campaigns.
Compliance and Reporting: Some clients may need to reset bounced contacts to comply with specific reporting or regulatory requirements. Accurate records of contact statuses can be important for audits and compliance checks.
Technical Issues: Occasionally, technical issues or bugs may cause contacts to be incorrectly marked as bounced. Resetting these contacts can help rectify such errors and ensure your messaging campaigns reach the intended audience.
Overall, resetting bounced contacts helps maintain the integrity and effectiveness of your messaging campaigns on the Mobiniti platform.
Please note: it's possible for a contact to be unsubscribed from one list, and subscribed to another. If this is the case, the contact will still be considered "Active" in your account

How do I send a Long SMS/Message Segmentation?
Send longer than 160-character SMS messages.
Mobiniti now supports Long SMS, allowing you to send up to 8 SMS Segments (1,280 characters maximum). Every SMS segment or "message" (as referred to underneath the message character counter) will count as either an SMS credit or rate per SMS message depending on your plan type.
If you are on a monthly SMS credit plan, it will take from your credits first before your balance. If you work off a monetary balance it will be deducted from your financial balance by your rate per SMS.
When creating your campaign 'x messages used' beneath the character counter highlights this. In the image below 4 SMS messages have been used.
Example Long SMS Billing Calculation
If your SMS rate is $0.05 per SMS message and you send a 161-character long SMS message (2 SMS segments used) to 1,000 contacts, it will cost approximately USD 100.00. 1,000 contacts x ($0.05 x 2 SMS).
Long SMS Messages Used Counts
Once you go over 160 characters and Long SMS starts to be used, the increments of message lengths per segment slightly change. See below:
Total SMS Messages | Starting characters count | Ending characters count |
1 SMS message | 0 | 160 |
2 SMS message | 161 | 306 |
3 SMS message | 307 | 459 |
4 SMS message | 460 | 612 |
5 SMS message | 613 | 765 |
6 SMS message | 766 | 918 |
7 SMS message | 919 | 1071 |
8 SMS message | 1072 | 1224 |
When using Emojis or special characters, it further adjusts the length. See below:
Total SMS Messages | Starting characters count | Ending characters count |
1 SMS message | 0 | 70 |
2 SMS message | 71 | 134 |
3 SMS message | 135 | 201 |
4 SMS message | 202 | 268 |
5 SMS message | 269 | 335 |
6 SMS message | 336 | 402 |
7 SMS message | 403 | 469 |
8 SMS message | 470 | 536 |
